    Chapter 1 finished on Thursday, September 24th. The students wrote their first math test on Thursday before the National holiday.
    On Monday, October 5th we started chapter 2: Numeration
    In chapter 1 students learned:
    -used models to represent, extend, and make predictions about number patterns
    -described and extended increasing patterns
    -described and extended decreasing patterns
    -identified patterns to solve problems
    -used variables in expressions
    -used equations to solve problems
    -created and solved problems for given equations
    In chapter 2 the students will learn:
    -represent and describe numbers to one million in a variety of ways
    -represent and describe decimals
    -compare and order decimals

    - How the government contributes to a society
    - How a government is organized and what is the importance of a constitution
